Year of the Rooster: What you need to know

Happy Year of the Rooster!

Chinese New Year is a two-week holiday full of festivities and tradition now celebrated all around the world. This year (beginning Saturday, January 28th) is specifically the Fire-Rooster Year, which means there will be extra zest in all aspects of your life. Who doesn’t want that?

This is the best time to start fresh—tidy and clean your homes and apartments, get a new haircut, settle old disputes, and set new goals (do this before or after the new year festivities to avoid the bad fortune of “washing away new luck!”).

This is also a great time to make acupuncture a part of your routine. Acupuncture moves and clears out stagnation in your body to allow for regeneration and growth. By naturally triggering your body’s own healing mechanisms, acupuncture can make you feel like a whole new person, for the new year!

Since it is a Rooster year, it is favorable for other signs to adopt some Rooster traits—hardworking, active, resourceful, courageous, and honest.

Unlike last year of the Fire Monkey that was full of chance and luck, this year will be powerful only if you take the initiative and be patient. Having a regular, yet strong routine will make all the difference in your work, studies, and personal life.

New year, new plans! Did you know that most insurance plans are updated in January? See if your insurance covers acupuncture (insert link)! Sarah and Meghan are here to help you through your health and life goals this year. Book for an acupuncture session here!
Happy New Year!
